Helpert + SOLER

Leslie Helpert (USA) and David Soler (ES) come together in a duo of two guitars, pedal steel and voice- singing lyrical poetry and playing in textures and melodies both beautiful and unique. Helpert's written over 1,000 songs and united with Soler after coming to Spain, introduced by mutual friends who encouraged their musical meeting. Helpert relocated to Europe after touring over 300 venues in the United States, coming to Barcelona to record on the Barcelona label "Whatabout Music". Her songs draw on archetype, vintage mythologies , geometry and exotic rhyme scheme. Helpert is a novelist, dancer, painter and teacher of voice as well as performing composer. Soler is a composer recorded by Lee Townsend (Botanicas, 2012)
